New Year, New Beginning
December 30, 2016
We are at that time of year again – the time of year where people start crafting their resolutions for the upcoming year.
Did you make a New Year’s resolution? Do you want to see how your resolution matches up with everyone else? Here are the top five resolutions for 2016, according to one study. GoBankingRates asked 5,000 people what their New Year’s Resolutions were for 2016:
1. Enjoy life to the fullest
2. Live a healthier lifestyle
3. Lose weight
4. Spend more time with family and friends
5. Save more, spend less
Here at the FCCG, we are laser focused on helping people who are negatively affected by problem gambling. And while all the aforementioned resolutions are good and dandy, we often encounter another type of resolution.
As gambling has become more readily accessible (thanks DFS apps and automated lottery machines) more and more people are becoming exposed to gambling.
And with more exposure, comes an elevated risk for misuse and addiction.
If your 2017 resolution is to get help with your gambling problem, we are here to help. By calling our helpline, we can recommend support groups, counseling, and connect callers with additional resources that would benefit their recovery. Should you have questions about the process or what we are able to do to help people and their loved ones who struggle with problem gambling, please give us a call at 888-ADMIT-IT.
Happy New Year! Make 2017 your best yet!
